Wallwork (iam and Artist), 2025

Heat applied vinyl on brick
40’ x 50’

Commissioned by Intuit Art Museum

With the renaming and reopening of Intuit Art Museum (IAM), we acknowledge in the most exuberant way, the amazing art and artists that are foundational to the institution through this new, building-scaled artwork. Created from photographic assets from the collection inside, we share the energy of the artists’ work on the street. Key artworks were chosen for their mark-making qualities and color and then remixed as organically-evolving patterns. From afar, the two facades—art and brick—are kaleidoscopically connected. Upon closer inspection, the patterns reveal details of the work of Chicago artists, including Henry Darger, William Dawson, David Philpot, Pauline Simon, Dr. Charles Smith, Gregory Warmack “Mr. Imagination”, Wesley Willis, Joseph Yoakum and Betty Zakowian.
